‘Gift of Hope’ Gala Cancelled
As the focus of the John Logan Foundation is on raising funds to deliver much needed ‘Gifts of Hope’ to people with Gastrointestinal Cancers, the Foundation’s Board has decided its fundraising focus for 2018 will be on more personal relationships with our supporters rather than larger events.
‘Gifts of Hope’ are direct financial assistance payments for patients who require cancer treatments which are not covered by the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. The Foundation has distributed 405 ‘Gifts of Hope’ worth more than $1.2Million to patients since we gave our first ‘Gift of Hope’ in 2010. We would like to thank past Gala attendees and supporters whose generosity has made it possible to assist these patients.
In the current economic climate, the Foundation’s Board has decided to cancel our ‘Gift of Hope’ Gala planned for Saturday, 4 August. We hope to return next year with a bigger and better event. In the meantime, the Foundation will focus on personal contacts to raise funds to meet the increasing requests to provide ‘Gifts of Hope’.
We hope you will support our charitable work by making a donation here.
